READING IN ALL THE BEST PLACES

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce my great friend Maggie Nash. We go back a long way and it’s exciting to have her as my very first guest. Maggie is going to share with us, Reading in all the Best Places. She also has a new book Kinky Bet coming out very soon.

READING IN ALL THE BEST PLACES

By Maggie Nash

Thank you so much for inviting me here today Layne.  I’m always hard to shut up, as you know…hahaha…so when you asked me to drop by how could I refuse?

I’m talking about a topic that is very near and dear to my heart. Reading in crazy places.

There are so many different places you can read. That’s the great thing about it. All you need is a book or a reading device, and enough light.  I’ve heard of people reading at the top of trees, in lifts, in church, in the bathroom, and even “shock horror”, while driving.  Some of the strangest places I’ve seen people reading include that one time when a committee I was on decided to go out to dinner. We didn’t know each other well at the time, but after we sat down and were getting acquainted, one of the committee members pulled out a book from her handbag, turned her back on the rest of us and started reading it.  To say we were gobsmacked is an understatement!

Okay, I can understand being so involved in a book that I have to keep reading it, no matter what, so maybe I shouldn’t be so harsh. There was that time that I was driving home from work and kept opening the book to read it when I was stopped at traffic lights. I got beeped so many times that day!  Don’t do that at home folks! In my defence, I had been working night shift and reading the book at work and I was in a brain fog from lack of sleep!

So go on folks – tell me your secrets. What crazy places have you been caught reading?

One lucky commenter will be chosen to win an advanced copy of my April 29 release “Kinky Bet” – so go ahead and spill!

(I have to thank the very lovely Lami Mentzas for the topic. When I sent out a call for ideas she responded almost immediately. What a great topic – thanks Lami! Where else do you get a blog topic from but on Facebook?)

BIO:
I’m Maggie Nash and I write romance novels. Some of them are suspenseful, some are pretty hot, and some of them are a little bit kinky, but what they all have in common is a fun, romantic ending.

I started writing more by accident than design when one day I ran out of books to read so I started writing one myself. And boy am I glad I did, because writing has become a huge part of my life.

I live with my family on the beautiful south coast of New South Wales in Australia. You can find me most days having a cappuccino at the beach!

  2. I took a book to hospital when I was in labour with child #3 much to my husbands horror. He knew I would get lost in the story and ignore him - poor petal needed support.

  3. Hi Maggie! I like to read in the bathroom. Its quiet and the chances of people asking me to do things that take me away from reading are quite slim LOL! In fact, if I could make sure the steam didn't affect my books, I would build a library in there.

    Cheers, Lami
