Please say hi to Diane Saxon introducing her new book Flynn's Kiss

Hi Layne
Thank you very much for inviting me to visit to celebrate the release of my new book, Flynn’s Kiss, through Taliesin Publishing.

Flynn’s a hard-ass bad-boy, he’s lived a tough life starting as a wrangler, joining the special forces, and then working as a stuntman and co-ordinator in the movies. He’s lived life fast and furious and his language is pretty ripe – oh and have I mentioned…? He’s shit with women.
Blurb
Severely scarred during a disastrous mission, ex special forces Flynn Swann is home after three years of avoidance. By his own admission, he’s no good with women and the last thing he expects or wants is the attention of a curvy little brunette, who’s just passing through.
With apparently no fear or revulsion of his scarred face, the boisterous woman bounds into his life and destroys all hope of a quiet visit. It is obvious to literally everyone that she wants him—all of him.
Worse still, despite her atrocious taste in fashion and Stetsons, she appears to have won the hearts of the entire town.
Scientist Liberty Sophia Glennon is on a mission to find a man before she has to return to the loneliness of the New Zealand outback where she has already spent eighteen lonely months doing research.
A ticking hormone bomb, Liberty feels time is running away with her. Outwardly she is a bouncing ball of over-confidence, but inside she is still a frightened little girl with horrific memories of her childhood and a desperate need to be liked.
Completely unfazed by his external scars, her seduction of Flynn is not so difficult, but follow-through proves painful as Liberty realizes Flynn’s wounds run further than just skin deep.
With apparently nothing in common but their passionate attraction, how will these two damaged souls deal with each other’s fear of rejection?

Excerpt
From the darkened protection of the corner of the room, Flynn watched the curvy little brunette with the bubbly hair bounce around, microphone in hand, wailing her heart out with obvious enjoyment. The sight of her large rounded breasts as they jiggled merrily along with the tune heated his stomach and threatened to move lower. She’d flicked several glances in his direction, and each time she did, he sank farther into the protective shadows by the wall, conscious she couldn’t see the left side of his face too clearly in the blue-hued lighting. Cute and friendly she might seem, but he knew from experience she would change her tune once she got a load of his scars. Women always did.
At the age of eighteen he’d considered himself a lady-killer—as most guys did—but he had been full of himself, knowing he was a good-looking son of a bitch. Never had a single problem or gave a second thought. If he wanted, he took, with great enjoyment and relish. With his unusually pale blue, bold eyes, dark brown hair, and chiseled features, he’d caught the attention of women of all ages. The fact he’d been brought up riding rodeo and working a ranch since he was born just added into the long, lean tone of his body. What nature hadn’t given him naturally, hard work and a tough upbringing had molded to perfection. When he’d joined the Special Forces, he’d honed it beyond perfection. He wasn’t overly tall, just under six feet, but his entire physique gave him presence. As a young man, he’d known it and reveled in it. Ego had driven him hard.
A golden boy, given the gift of a beautiful face, a bright mind, and a naturally lean body. He’d been destined to marry the glamour girl, crowned king and queen of the prom…everyone in town believed he had a long and happy marriage ahead of him with Rachel. Personally, he’d had a few qualms about the woman’s intelligence, but at the time and with the shallowness of youth, he had wallowed in her perfect beauty and the envy of the other boys. Celebrations had been wild at their engagement party before he went off to training camp. Faithful, he had returned to her time and again after each assignment. He’d had ambition, and she’d had plans. The pair were well-suited.
It didn’t matter. It all changed with the slash of a knife. His looks were destroyed, his mind rebelled, and the glamour girl ran screaming for the hills. He’d had the same reaction from women ever since.
He tipped the bottle of beer up to his mouth and stared down the length of it at the pretty brunette. Her breasts were interesting—got a nice little heat going in the pit of his belly—but his preference was her pert little ass as she swayed in perfect rhythm to the song she was murdering. She caught his eye again, gave a broad smile and a twitch of her eyebrows. A definite invitation.
He drew farther into the shadows.

Guest Author Eva Lefoy - Lover Enslaved

Please welcome my special guest Eva Lefoy who is telling us about her new book.

Arjun and Thomas take over the world! By Eva Lefoy (@eva_lefoy) #MM #romance #1NS #mumbai

Arjun Mukesh and Thomas Barkley are two characters from my novella, Lover Enslaved: 24 Hours in Mumbai. The book releases today from Decadent Publishing. Woot!

I think of any of the characters I’ve written, Arjun and Thomas are two that I’d most like to go hiking with. Arjun is an Indian male, a prostitute and he’s full of light and ease. He accepts his life, in the crazy metropolis of Mumbai, India, as his preordained fate. He doesn’t question if there’s another for him – until he meets Thomas. Then, he must accept the possibility it even exists before he can grasp onto the change fate has given him.

Thomas is an American business who’s pretty jaded. He travels for work a lot and he’s seen far too much trouble. From the minute he finds Arjun’s pimp harassing him, Thomas goes into protection mode and before long, he starts falling for the dark-eyed beauty. Deep inside, he needs to rescue Arjun and make him his. But first he must deal with Arjun’s boss, Ranjeet, who’s little better than a snake with clothes. And, he must convince Arjun a new door can open for him, allowing him to try a new path.

So, I’d bring Arjun hiking with me for the stories and the laughter, and Thomas for the firepower in case I ran into any real-life snakes on the trail!

Here’s the blurb for Lover Enslaved:

Stranded for twenty-four hours in Mumbai, India, contract negotiator, Thomas Barkley searches for a man who can make him forget his pain. When a trip through the red light district leaves him cold, he turns to Madame Eve’s service and finds a shot at redemption—but first, he has to survive it.

Indian male prostitute, Arjun Mukesh, begged Madame Eve to set him up for one night of real pleasure. He knows better than to expect anything but a brief hiatus from his miserable life. When Thomas showers Arjun with tender and very real affection, his heart begins to ache for the more than a taste of the life he cannot have. Unfortunately, his boss Ranjeet won’t to let him go without a fight.

Amidst a spray of bullets, Thomas must convince Arjun to take a chance on a new life in America before it’s too late for both of them.

And if you’d like an excerpt…. Read on!

Reveling in the gorgeous sight, Arjun came as well, something he never did with his clients, a part of himself he never let them see. This was Thomas, who already seemed a part of him. Not like a client but...a true lover. He came over his belly, the liquid warmth culminating their joining. The very real affection he felt for Thomas nearly breaking his heart.
The impact of Thomas collapsing on him stole his breath, sending waves of delicious security over him. His heart clenched and he closed his eyes, embracing Thomas and holding tight for however many seconds the glorious pleasure would last.
“Arjun.” Thomas kissed his neck, up the side of his face, his forehead, his lids, his nose, his chin, and then the other side. All the while, his fingers caressed and traced over the welts covering his back as though trying to erase them, replacing the bitter memories with new ones. With love.
Tears formed, unwelcome. No, he couldn’t think like that. The idea this man could really love him was too far-fetched.
Thomas gave him a squeeze. “That, Arjun, is how a man is supposed to make love. Do you understand the difference now?”
He whined out a soft “yes,” and Thomas immediately covered his mouth with a sweltering kiss. He melted into it with his whole heart and soul.
Long moments later, Thomas broke the kiss and sighed. “Arjun, that was…perfect. You’re perfect.” Thomas lifted him from the bed. “Now, let’s get you cleaned up.”
Thomas cradled him in his arms all the way to the shower, then set him on his feet gently. Protecting him from the first cold blasts of spray, he adjusted the water temperature. Then, even in the shower, he caressed and soothed with his hands. Arjun felt...cherished. Pampered. A piece of his heart he hadn’t known existed flowered into happiness and drifted freely toward the light, bringing more tears. He buried his head in Thomas’ shoulder and let the salty drops mix with the water and fall. They’re only tears from a whore. They are of no consequence.
Thomas washed them, his devilish hands partly fixed to their task but lingering in certain areas guaranteed to arouse heat. Before long, their cocks had hardened again.
“Ready for more?” Thomas asked.
“Yes, please.”
Thomas pinned him to the shower stall with his soapy body, rubbing his mouth and cock against him relentlessly, opening him to more long, slow loving. And, once more, storm clouds gathered in Arjun’s heart, drowning him with sorrow for a love he could never possess.

Diane Saxon

So happy to have Diane Saxon here today. Congratulations on nearing the end of your blog hop Diane and good luck with your romantic comedy Flight of Her Life!

It’s really great to be here today at the end of my blog hop visits to my favorite authors, Thank you for hosting me, Layne.
I’ve done a consecutive Excerpt of Flight of Her Life, my new Romantic Comedy especially for Christmas, so if you missed the other installments you can go back and start at the beginning. By the end, you will have read my first two chapters.
I love life and I laugh a lot. I think that’s why funny things seem to happen to me, so I thought I would do a little competition during the hop, the answers were a pure guess, and I am giving away a copy of Flight of Her Life to the two top scoring visitors.
Here are the answers:
1.    a. I leapt into the sea from the top of the ship – I was invited to by the Captain.
2.    c. Target practice, I’m afraid. But rumor had it I swung from the chandeliers and most people were very impressed.
3.    a. I stepped in cow muck, well I ran full pelt into cow muck, my dog escaped covered in poo and I had to get hauled out with a rope. I ruined my very expensive walking boots and never trekked that way again.
4.    b. I got stuck in a lift and everyone was out at the beach so no-one heard me calling. They had disabled the outside alarm because it was disturbing the reception desk. There was a little dead mouse and I wondered how long he had been there before I discovered him.
5.    c. Oh, my goodness. The poor, poor man. He was such a mess by the time he disembarked. It’s not like she was a little girl, nope, she was 19.
6.    c. Stuck. Stuck. Stuck. Scary stuck in steaming hot temperatures, our girls were only 4 and 8, no shade, no shelter, no water. Just sun cream and a metal boat, surrounded by alligators.

So, if you’ve commented I will have chosen by now the person with the most correct answers and I will let you know shortly who will win a copy of my new release, Flight of Her Life.

Excerpt
She drew in a breath and closed her eyes briefly, while she tried to ignore the pulsing warmth spreading through her stomach.
“Right, let’s go.” She turned to march away and was brought up short as he restrained her with the grasp of his strong hand on her elbow.
“It’s this way; you never could find your way anywhere worth a damn.” He turned her in the opposite direction, tucked her arm into his elbow. “And you should hold on to me so you don’t slip on your naked little tush. You don’t want everyone getting an eyeful, do you?”
She cast him an irritated sideways glance, but he was intent on moving through the crowds, toward the exit.
“I’ve booked a hotel. There’s a shuttle bus about to leave in five minutes. It’ll be the last one of the day. They can barely get through the roads now, so get a trot on.”
“I hope you’ve booked separate rooms.” She made her voice as waspish as she could, but he ignored her completely.
They stepped out into the minus fifteen blizzard. She sucked in a shocked breath and felt it turn to icicles in her lungs, making her want to cough it back out again.
She ducked her head just as he wrapped his thick, sheepskin coat around her shoulders, engulfing her in his warmth, and she automatically slipped her arms into the sleeves, which dangled almost to her knees.
“Thank you.” Not in the least inclined to refuse his offer, she pulled the coat snug around her and tucked her nose inside the collar to absorb the warm, spicy scent of him. It smelled of horses, and leather, and man. So different from the cool, aloof lemon and washing powder aroma Phillip emanated.
She whipped her nose back out of Sebastian’s coat and snapped an accusing glare over her shoulder at him as his hands firmly gripped her backside and pushed her up the two steps into the shuttle bus.
“Sebastian!”
He held his hands up and gave her an innocent look.
“Just giving a helping hand.”
“Well, don’t. I can manage fine without…” Her heel slipped in the wet and as her legs shot from underneath her, Sebastian neatly snaked his arm around her waist and let her back hit his chest.
“Ooommmff.” He steadied her. “You’re not as light as you used to be.” His cool lips touched her burning ear and his breath puffed gently across her cheek, sending delicious goose bumps chasing themselves down her spine. “Must be the boobs you’ve developed since I last had my hands on you when you were sixteen.”
That same fickle spine jerked to attention. She pushed away from him and lifted her chin while she stepped cautiously along the aisle.
The bus was full, except for one seat which she sat in, making sure his coat was securely wrapped around her and tucked under her knees, so she didn’t expose herself to any of the other passengers. She understood why crossing your legs at this stage could be considered vulgar.
“You have to find a seat, son, or you’re walking. No standing when we have to travel the interstate.” The bus driver turned his head and pinned her with a look over the top of his glasses. “You could ask your girl to sit on your knee, but I can’t allow you to stand.”
She didn’t even have time to shake her head in denial before Sebastian leaned down, scooped her up and plunked her on his lap. Her legs dangled between his wide spread ones, and his arms wrapped snugly around her waist. He burrowed his icy nose into the collar of his coat and buried it in her neck as she snaked her freezing legs against his warmer ones. She knew she should tell him not to get so close, she shouldn’t allow him to snuggle in, but she felt the shudder run through him and figured it wouldn’t harm under the circumstances if she relaxed against him and they shared their warmth. She was sure Phillip would understand.
